Weston-super-Mare

Weston-super-Mare
Weston-super-Mare, also known simply as Weston, is a seaside town in North Somerset. It lies by the Bristol Channel 20 miles south-west of Bristol between Worlebury Hill and Bleadon Hill. With a population of almost 85,000 it has in many ways "seen better days", the exotic draw of the Tropicana lido for children of the 70's and 80's, a once busy promenade... but recent investment and interest is seeing something of a face lift...

A glorious marine pool, with the infinite horizon when the tide is out, an emerging arts and culture scene, quirky independent shops selling vintage lego, witchy accessories and retro clothing. A quaint museum and new bars and restaurants... and a recent announcement of investment in the Tropicana site to revive it into a mixed event space will surely see renewed energy and visitors retrurn.
