Tuesday 3rd - Saturday 7th September @ The Mission Theatre [ Theatre , Live Music ]

Brief Encounter
“I love you - I love you and you love me too. It’s no use pretending it hasn’t happened, because it has.” (Alec, Act II)

Noël Coward’s Brief Encounter remains one of the screen’s greatest ever love stories, its timeless, sensitive portrayal of an impossible affair enthralling generations.

Opening at Milford Junction Railway Station, perfect wife and mother Laura Jesson meets Alec Harvey, a respectable doctor, equally devoted to his family. But when their accidental encounter becomes something more, the two find themselves helpless in the face of their emotions.

Adapted by Emma Rice, Coward’s story is energetically fused together with classic Coward songs and music to make a richly theatrical, witty and vibrant experience. Featuring the talents of some of Next Stage’s finest actors, singers and musicians, don’t miss this first class ticket to romance.
