Stroud Book Festival
With almost 40 events across our five day programme, we hope there will be something for everyone in our latest annual celebration of ideas, stories and community for readers of all ages.

Bringing you a host of authors across a wide range of genres from fiction to history, politics, travel, nature and the environment, the Festival gets underway on Wednesday 6th November with a Glorious Gloucestershire Quiz Night, hosted by broadcaster and author Mark Cummings and staged in aid of local charity Allsorts.

Alongside the six brilliant authors joining us during our two days of events for Gloucestershire primary schools on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November, Stroud Book Festival weekend on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November will be packed with fantastic events for children and families, including interactive workshops and spellbinding storytelling.

Our Stroud Book Festival finale on Sunday 10th November celebrates the 70th anniversary of "Under Milk Wood" by Dylan Thomas and will feature the Clark Tracey Quartet, performing his father Stan Tracey's acclaimed composition – A Jazz Suite Inspired by Under Milk Wood. The performance will also include selected readings from Dylan Thomas’s famous work. An evening not to be missed!
