Immerse yourself in a day of creativity and nature at Caisson Gardens with our exclusive workshop led by artist Jemma Gunning.
You’ll engage in a series of drawing activities inspired by the natural beauty around you. These sketches will later serve as the foundation for your unique monoprint creations.
Join us for a delightful journey through the beautiful gardens and woodlands surrounding Caisson House; a Grade II listed house, built in 1815 by the Somerset Coal Canal Company, providing a unique example of post-industrial heritage to inspire sketching whilst wandering the 40 acre estate.
After our invigorating morning walk, we’ll gather for a delicious, light vegetarian lunch, sharing stories and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we’ll transition to the art studio for a hands-on printmaking session. Using our morning drawings as inspiration, we’ll craft a series of one-of-a-kind monoprints, each infused with the essence of the gardens.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll take a moment for reflection and discussion, marvelling at the diverse artwork produced by our group. With autumn’s vibrant hues as our backdrop, this workshop promises to be an unforgettable experience, blending artistry with the splendour of nature. Join us for a day of creativity and connection at Caisson Gardens.
