Back by popular demand, this will be The Dunwells’ third visit to Burdall’s Yard, and we’re delighted to see this talented duo return!

Their debut album Blind-Sighted Faith was described as a “warm folk-rock record with flavours of Americana and Brit rock.” Their “carefully picked banjo, hard-strumming guitar” and inward-looking lyrics “make you feel something, without being overly sentimental.”

The Dunwells emphasise heartfelt lyrics and big choruses and have moved towards a fusion of acoustic instrumentation and electronics, drawing influence from their shared love of bands like Bon Iver, Elbow and Damien Rice. Now signed as songwriters for Syco and Universal Music Publishing UK, The Dunwells will guarantee you a fantastic evening of song.

Their support for the evening will be coming from local contemporary folk duo. Humm. With their rich harmonium drones, melodic finger-style guitar and lush ethereal vocals, Humm take listeners on a twisted journey through love and heartbreak, telling folkloric tales of Welsh saints and Greek sinners, Cornish fairy tales and mediaeval legends.
