An international photography festival shaped by the movements of the city
The world never stands still, it is always in the process of unfolding and becoming otherwise. Any given moment can be understood as a momentary congregation; of bodies, matters, histories, dreams and ideas. For the second edition we will focus on the theme of movement, drawing attention to global currents and flows, as well as fleeting and ephemeral encounters. We will ask what it means to both move and be moved by others; to understand movement, connection and relation as the primary conditions of being.
In particular, the works presented will include: personal stories of global relation, the resurfacing of histories to reshape the present, and moments of care, kinship and solidarity. Throughout the programme, photography often acts as a tool of visibility in uncertain times. And yet, the projects we presented also contain a degree of opacity, refusing to be co-opted into universal narratives. They contain layers of metaphor and allegory that reward slow engagement, offering space for thinking and feeling alongside the work, as well as the possibility of secrets yet to be revealed.
