Career Change Collective is a Bristol-based networking group for anyone considering or currently pursuing a change of direction mid-career. We provide a collaborative space where we can connect, share experiences, and explore new opportunities. Our founders have discovered for themselves some of the frustrations, pitfalls, and barriers to changing their careers. We know that the prospect can be daunting and challenging, but we also know that it's possible, especially when you have the support of others.

Emily passionately believes that we're not meant to stick with one job our whole life. Let her inspire you to take that career leap you've been considering! Emily went from working on a daily newspaper to a successful career as a novelist. She'll be talking about what led her to make the move, how she did it - including a brief return to university - and what it takes to get a book published. Whether or not you want to write a book yourself, there'll be something in this talk for you.
EMILY KOCH
Emily Koch is an award-winning author of novels including If I Die Before I Wake, which was a Waterstones Thriller of the Month. Before she became a published novelist she worked as a journalist for the Bristol Post, during which time she was named Young Journalist of the Year at the regional press awards. Alongside her writing career she co-founded WriteClub, which runs creative writing workshops. www.emilykoch.co.uk

PARKING: There is parking on Portland Square at the front of the Artist Residence, or ample parking can be found at the nearby Cabot Circus car park BS2 9AB.
